Career as a Human Resource (HR) Manager

What is Human Resource (HR)?
A Human Resource (HR) Manager plays a mediator between the management and employees and also ensures that the company meets its objectives. An HR manager has to handle all issues and aspects relating to the human resources of the company i.e. training, salary, increments, staff amenities, performance updates, employee policy, recruiting, team building, employees health and safety. An HR manager should create a positive work environment in which people get motivated and are ultimately in a happy work place. An HR manager’s role varies as per the organization. Education and experience both are equally important to survive in this profession. There are various opportunities and scope in this profession, as companies are expanding and multinationals are entering the economy. Demand and requirement both are expected to grow exponentially for HR managers.
Eligibility:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Human resource administration and management followed by a,
· Master’s in Human Resource, for better scope and good future prospects.
· An internship in HR department during summer break will help you out in gaining experience and knowledge.
Skills required as a HR manager:
· One should possess excellent written and communication skills
· One should possess leadership qualities
· One should be able to understand human relations and create a positive work environment. Plan well and work strategically.
Remuneration:
· As a fresher it could vary from Rs.10000/ to Rs.20000/
· As a manager one may get in the range of 1lakh and above
