A Short Course in Mountaineering

Introduction:


Anyone who loves the outdoors will want to grapple with the Himalayas some day. India has some of the best mountaineering course in the world.
The institute offers state of the art equipment, from boots and gloves to pick-axes. It’s run by the Indian Army, and the rigorous training ensures the trainees benefit immensely in terms of training and fitness. All the trainers have at least 10 peak ascents under their belt, as well as three Everesters. The Institute has been producing world-class mountaineers since 1965. Anyone interested in Mountaineering may do this short course as a hobby.

Duration: 28day course

Fees: Rs.5000/ for the basic course that includes training in rock climbing and negotiating various terrains.
